New beginnings

In Uncategorized on February 25, 2013 at 9:47 am

So today I’m starting my first day at my new job and in all honesty I’m nervous as hell. All I’m thinking about is what if I screw up? I have so much riding on this, I was fired from my old job for handing in my notice of resignation and well, everything is riding on it. Its all up to me now more than usual because if I mess this up, I’ll be the only one to blame for my own demise.

I’ve even tried re-reading about the company and the products they offer and its not making me feel any less nervous. Im not sure how to make it go away other than just doing the job and doing it right.

What about everyone else – do you have any rituals for starting a new job? Do you have any coping mechanisms you think I could learn from?

I’d love to hear from you all.

In the mean time, new job ahoy! Over and out.

New year, new rules to break

In Uncategorized on January 6, 2013 at 10:26 pm

So I haven’t updated in a while, I apologise. But happy new year and I hope you had a merry christmas and so forth and etc.

I decided that my first new years post would be my new years resolutions. I know most of you probably aren’t interested in the silly targets I set myself but its more for me to look back on to remind myself. More of a personal dig shall we say, so here goes.

No 1 – Sort things out at work (I won’t go in to detail on this one)

No 2 – Move out of my mums house

No 3 – Start my driving lessons

No 4 – Pass my driving test

No 5 – Have 100 Xbox games by June 15th

No 6 – Stop biting my nails (I try this every year)

No 7 – Stop starting new games before I’ve finished old ones.

I may add to these or elaborate on them if I’m feeling particularly angry at myself. If you do feel like you want to read this blog and/or comment on it, then drop me a comment, let me know what your resolutions are and how you stick to them! 🙂
